Opening Recycle Bin

When I right clicked on recycle bin and choose open, it use to open in it's own file explorer window, but now it opens in a different tab within the same file explorer as my other drives and folders. How do I get it to open in its own file explorer window like before?

It would help to know "exactly" what version of Windows 11, you're on.
Type: winver ...in the Taskbar search box.

Also, might want to open a Command prompt, as Admin, and run...
sfc /scannow

Right click your recycle bin and choose "properties". Location should be shown as C: drive.
You could always try a recycle bin reset. Open an elevated command prompt ( run as admin ) and use the command below followed by the enter key

rd /s /q C:\$Recycle. bin

I got this...

There's a space between the . and bin
Get rid of that space and try it again.
