The car audio has a USB-3 socket and the NVMe is in a USB case The radio is a full DAB Digital unit

I do have an Android unit that I've not fitted that has multiple inputs for Digital Radio and a few USB connectors

It should be possible, the USB would need to be a fairly recent one to power the larger capacity, you can get 256 or 5212 GB USB Pen Drive which are a practical and slightly more affordable option

Of course it could be an option to use those older SSDs that are too small for a modern OS setup but still 256 or 512 GB and a 2.5" portable case is cheap

Are you just plugging the drive into a USB port? What music file type are you using? I use both flac and APE file formats.

Currently, I run Plex and have it stream to the car radio through my Samsung Note 20.

BTW you could use this to attach to a SSD drive and plug into a USB port - StarTech.com SATA to USB Cable - USB 3.0 to 2.5” SATA III Hard Drive Adapter

Those look like the Audio-Technica M50X's I have. Great sounding headphones. The only issue I have is comfort as I found the design of the headband exerts too much pressure on your head. For that reason, I hardly use them and instead use my Sennheiser HD 700 all the time.

I suppose I need to try to break them in so they aren't so tight around the ears. Had mine since 2016 and rarely use them. Probably why the band is still so tight :oops:

What I tend to do is use the random all mode until I hear a track I like then switch the playback to repeat album and when the first track comes back on go back to random all and so on. Some of the albums are actually converted from multi cd ones so can be a lot of content before the change

I suppose I need to try to break them in so they aren't so tight around the ears. Had mine since 2016 and rarely use them. Probably why the band is still so tight :oops:

Yeah, but the headband is the same throughout that ATH-M series lineup. That headband is not the most comfortable (to me). That said, the sound quality is great - very true and clean. Anyway, I have these - Audio-Technica ATH-M50X

Over the air radio is getting as bad as over the air TV. Instead of interrupting the programing to bring you a commercial break they are interrupting the commercials to bring you a program break.
