OS
win10 64 bit 20h2 ver. now it is 22h2
ok last week i asked about adding a monitor and got some good ideas but the monitor i wanted to use did not work it was one of those usb-c powered and sub hdmi and i think it did not have all the pins to make it work because when i took a large pc monitor that worked.

but when i did that i noticed the pc ran real slow. now it has been getting a bit slow but i noticed it a lot lower. well i took it off and went back to the old settings and now the cameras when i click the tabs are way behind the time i see on the nvr s monitor so i go into the camera setting and now it whirly gigs for a bit before it shows the screen.

so i did a task manager and i do not have a lot of memory or cup usage that before. so is there some update that happened that i have to remove that seemed to slow the pc down? so now i'm doing a os reset i have ver 25h2 running and build 26200.8457 and use fire fox for the browser as chrome seems to have taken away the pop up extensions and u-block jst was not working well so i went to fire fox.

In this video, we delve into the common issue of slow boot times in Windows and how to effectively troubleshoot it using Process Monitor.

Also try clean boot and scan your computer for malware infections.

Run Sfc /scannow command from Command Prompt.

Scan for health all attached storage devices.

To view S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) data of your storage devices, you can use built-in system utilities or free, downloadable monitoring tools. These tools display drive health, temperature, power-on hours, and potential read/write errors.

You can use CrystalDiskInfo app.

Also run chkdsk C: /f command.

i did crystal disk info. the hard drive is 98% and the app says the disk is good i do not have a slow boot up after the browser is running and i click on any tab it seems lately it takes a long time to open. my cameras sometimes now will not open at all and i have to refresh lots of times to get them to go.

i just got an update that required me to select or decline all the normal thing like co pilot 365 and that one that want to back up my file online. on both of my pcs and now they both are running slow and i have a time opening the camera tabs. in fact i just tried to reset it back to an earlier version and i got the same version and os as before i started that process. so i think it is time to do a plain reset and see what happens and let the pc then do normal updates 1 at a time.
