Photoshop CS4 and corel x5 - will they work on win 11?

CS4 works ok on win 10 except the panorama function seems to have died. Corel x5 is totally useable on win 10 because I know the program well and can work around a few issues it has with 10. But win 11? I can step down to photoshop elements I suppose as I only use CS4 to doctor photos for use elsewhere.
Corel if it goes bad I would have to buy the latest non-subscription version if they still have one probably at least several $$hundred. What;s your experience with this issue? Thanks!

If it'll run on Windows 10, it'll run on Windows 11.

Yesterday, someone posted that they had CS2 working on Windows 11.

Although not in the same league as Photoshop, all these work on Windows 11...



And ofc, GIMP does as well.

I am using the abandonware CS2 on Win 11. It is fully functional.

CS2 was essentially classed as Abandonware so there are working keys all over the internet -- however what it will be missing is the ability to process a lot of newer cameras RAW (or native) format. What you could do though is use the cameras own software to convert the RAW to another lossless format and then save that as a.psd (photoshop format file).

These keys should still work for Windows and Mac (public domain knowlege now so nothing wrong here)

I'm still using without any issues though Photoshop CS6 with its last update. Still works on most Canon cameras RAW files -- other users e.g NIKON will have to test for themselves. However the basic idea should still work -- use cameras software to convert RAW to any format that itself can be converted to .psd and then work on it in Photoshop.

Of course more modern software will have better enhancement algorithms and filters and even a certain amount of A.I in it so depends on the age of your camera equiment and what you want the end output to do.

The Gimp (works on Windows) has also improved massively over the years so it might be worth getting skilled with that. Now it has provisions for decent layering etc it's an option that a lot could really consider -- and it's both FREE and regularly updated.

I'm looking to get a new machine running Win11 and run PS CS2. My current device is Win7.
I'm posting this because I believe anyone reading the old posts will get the idea that CS2 might work on Win11.
That might have previously been true and true for those who previously installed but according to Adobe, they've recently turned off the server that handled the activation which means new installations of CS2 will last only for 30 days.
I might look into a something called EASEUS which claims to be able to port the app across from one device to another. I hope it works.

I don't know about CS2 but I've got the old Adobe Acrobat 9 on Win11 which was Upgraded from Win10, has been okay so far. Can't say about re-activating if I ever lose the drive and need re-installing. It used to be when changing computers one had to deactivate the program from the old computers before being able to install on the new computer.

CS2 still works on Canary build W11pro / W11 for Workstations and W11 Enterprise.

However look at THE GIMP -- free and has almost as many features as photoshop and runs on Windows, Mac's and Linux.

CS2 has a generic "Abandonware" activation code in it so no problem with needing activation. However I'd recommend looking at the GIMP as I mentioned earlier.

The last version of photoshop before Adobe went all subscription stillworks but needs activation if you move between machines.

CS2 is an abandonware like mentioned above. It doesn't need to be activated or registered. I've actually been using it for years now since I found out that it is being distributed for free. It runs fine on my Windows 11 Pro.

As for WordPerfect, I have X4 on a Win10 Upgraded to unsupported Win11, so far working fine. I didn't install QuattroPro or other features as not-needed.

I also use Photoshop CS6 on Windows 11.

NIKON Raw files (*.NEF) can be supported by installing CameraRaw_9_1_1.
It also adds a lot of lensprofiles from all brands.
