Photoviewer for Windows 11

Photos app will not let you specifically choose 2 or more folders for a slide show but it WILL let you see a slide show of ALL your photos organized by date.

From start menu-all apps-open Photos (if you get a popup about onedrive, close the popup)
In far left toolbar click on "all photos" icon.
Photos will show organized by date in one continuous slideshow with newest photo first.
You can add folder locations to include in Photos if you wish.

Thanks for the response! I was hoping for a way to view the photos by the file name instead of date but looks like it's not possible in the default photos app.

I haven't personally used them as I'm not really into pictures, but look into Irfanview and Imageglass.

Is there a photo viewer which allows me to start at any folder then once the last picture in that folder is viewed, allows me to move to the start of the next folder?
I don't know of any image viewer that will automatically switch to the next folder once you reach the last photo.
Maybe someone might know, but I've never seen one.

Some file managers (e.g. Directory Opus) have a feature called "Flat View", which displays everything in the folder and all sub-folders. It gives the appearance of everything being in a single folder. That might be a workaround for you.

Here's a weird option. It takes some planning ahead, but it would work.
Put all your pics in one folder, sorted my name, sort of.

Like this, maybe...

Name all your Halloween pics like... hw1, hw2, hw3, etc. Then name all the pics of grandkids, something like... gk1, gk2, gk3 etc.

Then they would still be sorted, but could all be in the same folder. And a lot of these photo viewer programs can do batch rename, so they'd be easy to group and rename.
