Hi, with Win7, every time you'd print something, a little tray icon would show up which, when clicked, would display the print queue and allow you to cancel any print job that had a problem. This is gone in Win11. If you enable the print device icon in settings personalization, the icon appears upon printing but double clicking it does nothing, you can just left click it and it'll open the print and scanner app for you to open the spooler. I imagine there is no way to have the same as there used to be in Win7?

Hello mate, :alien:

If you like, you can use the method in the tutorial below to create a Print Queue action center shortcut that can be pinned to the taskbar and/or Start Menu to use for this.

ok thanks, that's one way of being able to cancel an out-of-control print job. Too bad the icon won't disappear when printing is finished as it used to with Win7...

I suppose you could pin to start instead so it won't always show on the taskbar.
