I reinstall windows few hours ago and I am not sure if I did something since then until not but I just notest that when you right click on something and bring the context menu(including the old menu(which comes by choosing "Show more options" )),when I am pointing over any menu the highlighting is barely visible(the highlight color is almost the same color as the actual menu color))

Before the reinstall I remember it was definitely more visible(I moved the images to my phone to make sure it's not my screen but it's also barely visible there)

Maybe there is some registry keys that allows you to change the color
I have not reinstall windows in a very long time, maybe I had some change done before

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
Yes, menu highlight is very faint if you are using light mode and a fixed, low-contrast color that cannot be natively changed via settings or registry hacks. While not perfect, the native highlight is much easier to see if you use dark mode.

It would require a third party tool. Though I have never used third party tools to do this you might check into StartAllBack. The web says it has an option to "colorize everything with accent color"

Strange
Especially in Notepad++ for example

You have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to find out
I was looking at all of the settings and when I reach to the "About"...bam Trial days left
What a let down

Maybe you had slightly different graphics settings?

And of course ensure you have selected/restored the classic context menu too.

FWIW - My context menu 'highlight' is a very slightly darker grey - all native Windows, light scheme, nothing 3rd party that should affect it.

I notest something strange which makes me believe there is a way
When I enable "colorize everything with accent color" and then uninstall the StartAllBack, the highlight color still stays the accent color
Nothing from StartAllBack is running after the uninstallation(no dlls remaining hooked to processes)and it is restored to that gray barely visible after logging out and log back in
The uninstallation is restarting the explorer

you cant without startallback (which is not fully uninstalled/disabled until you restart explorer or reboot)
