What ever floats your boat. For me, I'll stick with suggesting what I think a novice user will find easier.

That's not always the case. As an example, when I did a clean install om my Beelink Mini-PC I had more missing drivers than I could shake a stick at. I blame myself for not backing up the installed drivers before doing the clean install. I had to do a little searching on the Beelink website to find the drivers I needed.
