program runs in Windows 10 but not Windows 11

But the only admin account is mine which is the one where the app doesn't run. The non-admin user account I set up today is the one where it runs ok,. Please excuse my ignorance.

NP. The problem profile is still usable, but there is some risk in trying to keep on using it.
So:
- Log in using the problem profile.
- Change the temp user' s group to Administrators
- Log out and reboot.
-Log in using the new temp user which now has admin rights.

Please take your time re-reading the previous posts as I edit often.

I tend not to like or use these cleaner apps but I ran Wise as I don't see what I have to lose at this stage. Unfortunately it made no difference but found loads of ActiveX /com issues.

I did not mean cleaning but rather performing a defrag of the reg.

Yes I tried to defrag the eg but Wise said something like there was "hardly any redundancy in the reg...so defrag next time"
