random stuttering in windows (WINDOWS ONLY ISSUE)


Needless to remind you that Windows Update drivers are not always the best. They make the device work so that you don't see any exclamation marks in Device Manager, but they don't make it work at best performance or even make available all the device features. That's why I insist to manually download both the official AMD chipset and the official AMD graphics drivers directly from AMD and install them in that order. It will make a huge difference in compatibility and performance compared to Windows Update. Plus you will have access to AMD Control Panel to tweak graphics settings. To avoid mixed versions driver files, I would first remove any old drivers with DDU.

Start disabling startup applications. Restart your computer and check Task Manager. Which applications are running? Stop them and see if it helps. Do it one-by-one to find the culprit. Next to check are non-Microsoft services, even AMD services.

These cables are inexpensive and are a worthy investment even if you keep them for emergency only.

Perhaps you could borrow a cable? The wonderful advantage of wireless is that the router can be moved but when it comes to latency ethernet is king. (Especially if it's being fed by fiber). How are your temps?
