A tad bit off topic, but, this is drivin me nuts!
Right click entries in the Reg are neatly in Alphabetical order...
... but in the right click menu itself, they're all over the random place!
and, I rename the reg entries all kinds of different ways and they get even more random! Mystery!
Never mind..., as I study it closer, I see they are exactly alpha-reversed!
I've manipulated the entries using Alt Characters. Good enough!
(Unless someone knows a better way!)
You’re a wiz, @Edwin. I tried to find the process you told me on how to do this but couldn’t.
But I need a step by step idiots guide. My thought process and comprehension seems to be getting worse. I was warned, but who listens to anything when they’re young and mental…

but, I want Greenshot, FastStone and ShareX at the top, in that order, so...,
without adding Bullets or the like, I added Alt+255, (twice for FastStone and Greenshot, once for ShareX), to the actual names of each three, after the Open with prefixes...
they maintain their alpha order, but the Alt characters change the sorting:

All the entries you see in my Registry screenshots, under shell, I added myself, mainly because I want them at the top and not in sub-menus!
There are some naming conventions you need to use though...,
for example:
The ShareX parent key needs a String pointing to an icon, and a Position String, obviously having to be Top:
