Remove blocked files/folders in W11

Hi,
I installed a new W-11 system in a new PC. I moved the old C drive to the new systen, now D, in order to prevent transfer of data etc. Now I want to remove old windows folders from D, but it appears the those are protected. How can I nevertheless remove them?

If you don't need anything on that drive, just format the disk (Right-click, Format).

But if you want to keep the data on that drive and just delete those old Windows folders, you can take ownership of those folders and then delete them or open a file manager window with TrustedInstaller privileges and then delete them. There are several ways you can do that, including using my free Right-Click Tools.

May be your Right Click add-on can do the job, but I am not sure which line I have to use. Can you help me out in this selection and the necessary following steps?

You could try "Privileged file manager here" and then click "Trusted Installer". Then browse to the folders and see if you can delete them. The other option is select "Cmd here as TrustedInstaller" and then use the rd command to remove folders. For example:

rd /s /q "d:\Program Files"

Hi,
In my po-upmenu I saw a line in Dutch as : Take property and get access". I tried that one and it immediately started to work, a couple of times with the message that that file was occupied and then I hit Go -on. I did not realise that so many programs had so many data in the Users Folder.
In the end it just stopped and the concerned folder was deleted.
