You have almost a week before they're available.

The 4090 is no bigger than a 3090 or 3090ti. (All 3 are thick, 3.5 slots.) It consumes no more power. (450W and up, fairly extreme.) Unlike the 3090ti, the 4090 appears to need an actual 12+4 pin 12VHPWR PCIe power connector. The 12 pin PerFE connector that is usable with the 3090ti isn't supposed to work.

As far as I know, no SLI. ;-)

It's a couple of mortgage payments for me at Canadian prices, so I think I'll pass on this one. My 3070 Ti is good enough for the gaming I do.

Until prices get back from the moon, I'll be staying with my little 1080 TI in my specs. It works just fine for what I do without needing a power plant to run it.

Aw, c'mon. ;-) The GTX 1080 ti is rated at 250W maximum, The RTX 4090, 450W. A significant difference, but not as if you were comparing the 4090 to a card with no auxiliary PCIe power (75W max).

The price ($1.6k and up) and the size (3.5+ slot width) are major negatives.
