Search - What is going on here?

New Win 11 Pro pc (as per Syetem 2 specs)

I click on the search box (lower left as shown below)

I click here to search ....jpg

and I get this ...

... and get this.jpg

which is NOT what I expect.

What have I got and why? What is happening and how do I get a "normal" search (like I had in Windows 7 / 10)?

A rather puzzled Art

Just don't like that the small search box expands to that humungous "window" - to what end?

I like the first of your thumbnails - the 'white' one. What settings did you use to obtain that as I'd prefer that look (hopefully this copies)
