This tutorial will show you how to change which accessibility tools to automatically start at sign in, after sign in, or both for all users in Windows 11.
You can select to automatically start the assistive technologies below at/after sign-in:
- Type without the keyboard (On-Screen Keyboard)
- Press keyboard shortcuts one key at a time (Sticky Keys)
- If i press keys repeatedly, ignore extra presses (Filter Keys)
- Use the numeric keypad to move the mouse around the screen (Mouse Keys)
- Hear a tone when you press CAPS LOCK, NUM LOCK, or SCROLL LOCK (Toggle Keys)
- Color Filtering (Settings)
- Cursor indicator (Settings)
- Live Captions
- Speech Recognition (deprecated)
- Voice Access
You must be signed in as an administrator to change assistive technologies sign-in settings.
Here's How:
1 Open the Control Panel (icons view), and click/tap on the Ease of Access Center icon.
2 Click/tap on the Change sign-in settings link on the left side. (see screenshot below)
3 Under Assistive Technology, check or uncheck (default) the At sign-in and/or After sign-in boxes for the accessibility tools you want to automatically start, and click/tap on OK. (see screenshot below)
That's it,
Shawn Brink
