Show hidden icons

I don't like hidden icons so I always drag them to the task bar.This action is no longer available in 22598.200
The apps that are hidden can only be "exited" but not moved
Is this a bug or is there something wrong with my setup

If you're talking about the System Tray, yes, they removed the ability to rearrange them a few versions ago (for Beta and Dev). Without the ability to rearrange it stops the ability to drag/drop them to the 'hide' menu. You can however turn each icon on/off (moves it into the 'hide' menu)...

Right-click the Taskbar next to the System Tray section and click "Taskbar settings", from there, click "Other system tray icons" and you can turn them on/off from here. The ones that are turned off will appear under the "Arrow" icon unless you turn that off as well, in which they will be hidden completely.

not exactly what I was trying to achieve. Switching off/on with the system tray icons just gives a further level of hiding. It still dose not give me the option of drag and drop into the task bar

Drag and drop to the Taskbar is a function that was in W10, but did not carry over into the completely redesigned W11 Taskbar. It had many purposes, but the one use for it that I miss was the ability to select one or more files in Explorer, then drag them over the icon of a running app on the taskbar. The app's window would then open, allowing you to drop the files into the window to open them.

That one particular drag and drop functionality (but none of the others) has now been restored in the latest Insider builds. It should make its way into the next release of W11, 22H2 expected around October/November this year. If you need it now, then there is a fix available on GitHub that adds it to the current release.
