I'm using win 11 and got into trouble while switching to safe mode. I modified msconfig and restarted my PC to only end up locked out with the message "Something happened your PIN isn't available."

Now I can't login or do anything as it's stuck to safe mode. How can I turn off safe mode without logging in? This is frustrating as I'm not able to login despite trying different options. Please help.

restart the system and while booting hit/press the F11 key
this should bring up recovery mode

you can then enter safe mode again and check system configuration
to see that 'safe mode' has been not ticked/checked from the boot menu.

Can't you use your password to login? That's the fallback if the PIN isn't working.

FWIW, same thing happened to me on my new laptop. I think it was due to some Windows update, suddenly my fingerprints were no longer recognized. I always encode two of them, and neither of them were working. I just encoded them again. I hope that WIndows updates don't start nuking the security settings, that's going to piddle me off! :rolleyes:
