StartAllBack

Hey, I've been using this for some time now and paid for it, it's really fantastic. Full props to the creator!

I felt like asking if anyone encounters these problems that are the only quirks I've found:

On a DPI switch (like running a game using DSR), the "Colorize everything with accent color" setting gets broken; it will keep the accent on certain things but certain highlights will be default windows blue; unchecking and checking the setting again fixes it. Nothing major, just a slight annoyance;

When using taskbar on the top, every restart the notification panel (with the calendar and stuff) can randomly appear on the left side or not appear at all until I switch taskbar to bottom and to top again. This also only happens once per restart so it's not a huge issue though.

This is a really weird problem that happens when StartAllBack, Kaspersky and DSR are all enabled. When switching to a non-native resolution, avpui.exe will steal focus and prevent you from going to the video game till you completely turn Kaspersky off or restart the system. It will do this if you've entered Kaspersky's UI since restarting. Super weird problem that probably nobody else has though, but if you've found this problem and don't know what's causing it, try exiting Kaspersky and trying again, it might solve you a headache

Just wanted to note these in case a fix for them is trivial or something. Great program!

I updated to 3.7.3 from 3.6.11 and this happened.

Only does it on this machine. Could be atomic alarm clock, could be multiple monitors. Doesn't do it on another machine with similar specs. Goes away when downgrading, comes back when upgrading. Notice the attention seeking bubble slides over the clock, and a load of microphones and language buttons appear. It should look like this:

I tried system, notifications, but the app isn't listed. You seem to have failed to register the app in Windows properly so I can turn the notifications off.

As for the original problem, I can remove the extra tray icons in the startallback settings, but notifications continues to be slid over to the left over the clock.

I turned off atomic alarm clock, letting startallback control the clock.

But when I turn on taskbar transparency, I can't see the clock if that part of my background wallpaper is black, which it often is, if the picture isn't exactly 16:9, so there's a black margin.

The problem is the clock is black ink, I cannot change the font colour.

The Link on the StartAllback site (again) appears not to have been updated.
A usable link to the latest version can be found here: http://startisback.com/StartAllBack_setup.exe
That is a http site, that's why most browsers will refuse to download from, because it is no protected transfer.
But then in the download window of the browser one should be able to instruct the browser, that the download could be completed anyway.

I see nothing new! 🤷‍♂️

And..., right away, it tells me to install the older version!

I installed 3.7.5 here. Just for fun I clicked on "Install new version" and was offered 3.7.3. Maybe just a delay in updating the server.

I have a question, if anyone can help. I bought this app for one reason only - to have taskbar on top of screen. It's one feature, I just can't imagine being without.

But I've been also having some issues with maximised windows and I wonder if anyone else is having that. If I open any other app (for example eplorer, browser, discord, etc) and select 'maximize' button in top right corner, the window is maximized beyond the taskbar, and the top part of window is hidden behind it. It's extremely annoying issue that only seems to appear after computer has been tuned on for a few days. After fresh restart, it works as it's supposed to. But after a couple days or so, the feature just seems to not work anymore.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a way to contact app developer to perhaps take a look into that? I am not sure if there is an issue with the app itself or perhaps I'm missing a setting somewhere... but there is no real way to check, unless I find another alternative to fix my taskbar to top of my screen...

I have a very good spec PC, updated graphic drivers for Nvidia, up to date on Windows updates, but issue still persists.
In app settings I only have two changes - positioned my taskbar to top and set option to combine taskbar buttons to 'Never'. All else is used with default settings.
Would appreciate any help or suggestions in this matter. Thank you.

If you indeed paid for it, you could send the developer an email.
The support mailadress should be known to you.
For when I received my licence, I became a mail that says:

As my own language is Dutch, I translated "Subject", "From", "Date" and "To" in this mail into English.
I blurred all private data, as I don't want to publish my mailadress, his mailadresses or my licence number.

The licence email you should have received will show this at the bottom: - "If you have questions, please send them to startisback@gmail.com"

I have found them quite good at replying to queries.
