StartAllBack For Windows 11 has been released.
It's an RC release. I haven't tested it yet as I have Start11 installed.

Edit: I have now tested it. It's working quite well.
Apart from a great start menu, you can also have the Enhanced Classic Taskbar back.
This means (for example) that you can have an uncombined and unlocked Taskbar.
You will now also be able to enhance the Taskbar clock using T-Clock Redux or similar.
T-Clock Redux Tray Clock_.png

You can also change Windows Explorer to Ribbon UI or Simple UI.

You can get it Download

With the release StartAllBack 3.8.12, and using the Windows 7 option for Explorer, the menu bar does not work at all for me.
Same..., unless I open Explorer via Control Panel, (explorer shell:::{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683}\5\::{679f85cb-0220-4080-b29b-5540cc05aab6})
Using the StartAllBack 3.8.12.5194 beta, the menus work all the time for me, even for restored windows.
Same.
P.S. I also noticed that the Details pane at bottom is always enabled, regardless of the setting.
I found the setting toggles the Status Bar at the bottom...,
I have to use Old/New Explorer to toggle the Details Pane.

Mstyles is just a theme and don't have anything to do with this annoying bar
that shows up only when i set SAB explorer style to W7.
Shows up with default W11 theme too.
I just want to get rid of it.

I did set SAB explorer style to W7 and did not get that bar.
So in one way or another that annoying bar must have it's cause in something else in your computer.

And if it is only appearing with SAB, then SAB will not be able to cooperate with MStyes, which is rather normal.
You cannot use two different programs at the same time that are modifying the user interface of File explorer and you can't expect the developer of SAB that he is taking in consideration your wish to combine MStyles with SAB!

As i stated previously, the same happens while not using my custom vista theme, it shows up same when using windows 11 default theme (no custom msstyles at all)

In that case the cause must be somewhere else in your system. It seems to me that no one could find out what is causing that problem just in your system. I never saw anything like it, not even during the (long) time I used Windows 7, so may be your file explorer is corrupted.

You could wait some time if somebody else knows what to do, but else you might need something like this:
or even:

I would suggest you make a system image first, before you do any repair attempts!

Isn't this just the menu bar - which is the same bar that we've been talking about for the last few days?? It's indeed standard when you select Win7 in SAB. I've been wondering about how to either hide it or make it functional. There have been some suggestions here.

I got it.
So it is a common behaviour?
I don't like the way it looks, would be nice if we could turn it off, just in case.

I don't have this menu bar with the Windows 7 option

W7.PNG

However, I have it if I activate it from the Organize button => Layout => Menu bar

No issues encountered with SAB, some "incompatibilities" with custom themes
Just a shame to still have this awful green in the Progress Bar (taskbar)
Microsoft has finally removed it after decades where we had it (replaced by the accent color it seems)

Yes indeed! I did not look that far into the possibilities of the W7 File explorer!

When I click Organize button => Layout => Menu bar that bar is there:

And when I click that option again, it has gone again:

Show Classic Context Menus does not integrate new available compression options available in Modern Menus. Is there maybe a way this can be integrated with StartAllBack? I know I can install 7zip but I don't want to if SAB can do it. ; )

It seems to me it is one way or the other.

You can choose to use the modern option of 24H2 to have more than one compression app to choose out, but having to use the modern context menu as well.

Or you use the classic context menu, which does not have that choice.

Yes, I am already aware hence my post. That’s why I’m hoping SAB could possibly do their magic so users do not have to switch. I’m not aware whether or not however if the SAB Devs read this but I’ve no known option on how to contact them directly to submit this kind of thing. I know there is an old MSFN forum as well but it’s old.

It's still there and active, if you're interested:

That may be problematic. In the past I tried several times to make an account in that forum, but failed. Until about half a year ago they did not allow new members at all, then the mail you should receive after registrating never came. The mails definitely had not arrived in my spambox as well, the registrating system just does not function correctly. Or did not, because I did not try anymore after a few weeks and have not tried it for at least 2 months.

But that all should not be any problem., because the dev of StartAllBack, @Tihiy is active here as well, and has even responded to the problem posted by @Arphynion with link to a reasonable solution. (y)
