StartAllBack For Windows 11 has been released.
It's an RC release. I haven't tested it yet as I have Start11 installed.

Edit: I have now tested it. It's working quite well.
Apart from a great start menu, you can also have the Enhanced Classic Taskbar back.
This means (for example) that you can have an uncombined and unlocked Taskbar.
You will now also be able to enhance the Taskbar clock using T-Clock Redux or similar.
T-Clock Redux Tray Clock_.png

You can also change Windows Explorer to Ribbon UI or Simple UI.

You can get it Download

Hi. I installed StartAllBack and I'm using the Win7 setting for Explorer. I noticed the menu bar (File, Edit, View, Tools) doesn't work. I read somewhere that it doesn't work anymore for anybody. Is it possible to just disable/hide it in that case? I tried removing the checkmark (Organize > Layout > Menu bar) but it's still there. Thanks to anybody that can help with this.

You have to do the ole 'Enter Explorer through the Control Panel' trick to make those menus work...

Thanks. I tried opening Control Panel and then just typing c: in the address bar. I'm not sure if you meant something else? If I go to Control Panel\System and Security, I don't have Quick Access as an option.

Anyway, if I just type c: in the Control Panel I get to Explorer, but funnily enough without the menu bar! I tried re-enabling the menu bar in Organize > Layout agian, but to no avail. I still get the (non-functional) menu bar when I open Explorer normally of course.

But in any case, is there a way to have Explorer always open this way, like a shortcut or something? I guess it wouldn't work for Win+E or for Explorer windows that are restored at logon anyway.

Thanks. The first solution did make the menu bar work, but unfortunately it still doesn't work in windows that are restored when I sign in to Windows (unless I keep the location This PC, i.e. I don't move to any other folder). OldExplorer also made the menu bar work, but that too does not work for restored windows (not even if I keep the location).

What about putting one of those shortcuts in your Start-up folder?

My situation is rather fortunate, whereas, with the assistance of QTTabBar Groups, the window opens with the folder that originates from the alternative route, (Control Panel), and all tabs remain in that state..., and restore at logon, if I wish.

And, thanks to SAB, I don't have the stupid - File Explorer suffix!

What about putting one of those shortcuts in your Start-up folder?
And if you make a shortcut to the hidden Send to folder (%UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo), and then place that shortcut in the folder itself, then you can right click on shortcuts send them to the Send to folder.

I just tested 24H2 26100.2161 with a fresh build and first confirmed that Explorer windows are restored on login if I have the item "Restore previous folders at login" checked. I then switched Explorer over to the old Windows 10 style version using SwitchExplorer (which applies the same registry settings as Option 3 in the tutorial) and tested again. My open Explorer folders were still restored on login. Am I missing something?

My problem is the functioning for the Menu Bar. The restored windows have non-functional Menu Bars. Clicking File, Edit, View or Tools does nothing.

Does pressing Alt+F, E, V or T do anything?

No, it's the same.
To be clear, the Menu Bar works if I use one of the described methods, but it doesn't "stick" when the windows are restored at login.

I just tested StartAllBack with 24H2 26100.2161. My results seem to be different.

With the release StartAllBack 3.8.12, and using the Windows 7 option for Explorer, the menu bar does not work at all for me.

Using the StartAllBack 3.8.12.5194 beta, the menus work all the time for me, even for restored windows.

P.S. I also noticed that the Details pane at bottom is always enabled, regardless of the setting.
