Hi Everyone: I'm testing out StartAllBack to see if it can help me set up a particular workflow for the taskbar.

I'd like the taskbar to "never combine" taskbar buttons. Then, when I click a program icon pinned to the taskbar, I'd like to have the new uncombined instances of that program open to the right of all my pinned taskbar buttons.

I'm able to get the "never combine" feature working on StartAllBack easily, but my new instances open on top of (replacing) my pinned program icon. Is there any way to create new instances to the right of my pinned taskbar buttons? This was standard in more antique versions of Windows, but not sure if it is possible these days.

Thanks for your thoughts!

"Never combine" is an option for the systray, I believe, that concerns only systray icons. When you run a task from the taskbar pinned programs, if you move the mouse over the running instance(s) of that program on the taskbar, it should show you a thumbnail of every instance that is running. To bring up that instance, just left-click on the thumbnail of the instance you want to work with. I guess the assumption is that if a program window is open on the desktop, the operator knows which program spawned it...

The program is nicely implemented inside Win11, my StartAllBack actually dings Windows notification to let me know that there's a new version, and I can download and update directly from the Win11 notification. Don't have to open a browser. Very nice.

In both 3.4.3 and 3.4.4 I've noticed that I lost the Windows Terminal option in the Windows X menu (i.e. right click on the Start Button). Any way or setting to restore it?

Thanks for bringing back the old File Explorers with the Modern Icons UI. I can't believed they removed the Ribbons because the realtime mouse hover over on the fly VIEW mode is so damn useful. Same thing with realtime search function without having to hit enter everytime you type something.

Just wondering what is going to happen when they introduce TABS to the new File Explorers. Will it conflict with the Ribbons area?

Working fine here running the same build 22621.169...btw, you can grab a program shortcut and drag it with the mouse right up to the taskbar, and you will see the option to pin appear. Right-clicking the start menu works fine here. When you left click the start menu, the regular menu appears--select a program shortcut on that menu, right click it, and the pint to taskbar option appears--I tried it, works fine here. If you still cannot find the option, then reinstall the SAB application, as that might fix it for you.

WARNING! I just updated the Dev Channel version 25158 and trying to run or install StartAllBack 3.4.4 is a disaster! The screen turns all white and starts a rapid flashing. The mouse cursor develops a trail. Only the Start Menu shows up on the taskbar and is unclickable. CTRL-ALT-DEL will let me get into the sign-out screen. Restart while holding the Shift key will allow troubleshooting and advanced startup settings to enable Safe Mode to uninstall StartAllBack. Then everything works fine.
I have used Revo uninstall to completely wipe StartAllBack version 3.4.4 and tried reinstalling it and immediately get the flashing screen. So far, I cannot find any info or other warnings. Is it just me?

Yeah, seems like they changed something in the Code for the new Badges in the Widgetsarea.
Hope it will be fixed soon, because the new Windows Build is much more stable for me...

Safe Mode to uninstall StartAllBack
I tried twice to get StartAllBack to run on build 25158. After doing the second Macrium image restore I just disabled StartAllBack for both users on my desktop and then did the update. Seems to be running OK.
