Hello, new friends,

My system no longer goes to sleep after the 15 minute time I set.

Another pretty major annoyance is that after it goes to sleep (now only manually) it moves my windows around and changes their size.

It's this system: Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.3155)

The hardware is ASUS Prime H670-PLUS D4 motherboard, 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz, and 64GB RAM.

Can you help?

Nice setup you built there, Dave. If you haven't already, I suggest you make sure you have the latest UEFI bios update from Asus as well as most recent drivers and firmware updates. Especially look into any IMEI. I read into your post that at some point sleep did work correctly. If you allow windows update to update drivers, I would also look into windows update history at any drivers WU applied. Most here agree that allowing WU to update drivers is not the best idea and one should utilize the tools that come from the mobo manufacturer or OEM to handle driver updating.

Sleep did indeed work properly until a week or so ago. I will check on the update history. Should I start backing some of the updates out?
Using WU is so easy, but I'll check and see what update tools ASUS may provide.

Check also what other apps and programs you installed a week ago.

I don't know if you could find these useful.

Open a command prompt with elevated privileges and enter this command:

Code:
powercfg –lastwake

The last device that woke up the system will be shown

To find out which devices are enabled to wake up the PC, enter this command

Code:
powercfg -devicequery wake_armed
