Windows 11 - Release Preview channel
Just one week ago my C: System Volume Information folder was 199.7 KB. Today it's 7.5 GB :oops:. Where does 7.5 GB come from in just one week?

How do you have System Restore set? If it's on, SR points makes most sense. Some software when installed makes SR points as well.

Delete them and then create a new one, the size should be approx. 3.5 - 4Gb for your system based on that original number.
Occasionally Windows updates and some other 3rd party software will re enable system protection if you have previously disabled it.
