By chance, are you talking about NOT being able to just grab a shortcut on the desktop, and drag it down to the taskbar?
Older versions of Windows worked like that, but Win-11 doesn't. That drove me Bonkers at first, and still aggravates the heck out of me!
Then I just kept poking at things till I found where MS had hidden that capability.
I'm not on my Win-11 PC right now, so I'll try this from memory.
So, I have a shortcut to a program located on my Win-11 Desktop, and I want to copy it to the task bar (was once called the Quick Launch tool bar).
I right click on the shortcut, and get the abbreviated Context menu. Then I click on the very bottom item on that menu, and I get a more detailed context menu. On that menu is an option that says something like "Pin to taskbar". Clicking on that option, gets my shortcut copied to the Task Bar.
It's a long way around to perform such a simple task. I have to use the same technique to find the "Delete" command, when I want to delete any desktop item. I really wish I could just add that "Delete" command to the first Right Click Context Menu. Maybe someone will find a way to do that.
Cheers Mate!
