Solved Taskhost.exe has stopped working

As of about 5 days ago I've started getting the message "Taskhost.exe has stopped working" in the Reliability Monitor, usually 2 or 3 times a day. Any ideas on this one campers?

Open an elevated Command Prompt and type sfc /scannow and press Enter.
See if that will fix the faulting application.

I did SFC /scannow and a DISM /restorehealth on the 17th after the latest Preview Build updated. The errors had shown up previous to that and continue. Just reran SFC and it came up clean.

Establish what times the errors are appearing, check out the task scheduler to see if anything coincides.
Can you recall installing anything around the time this started?

Haven't installed anything new lately. Did find this in Event Viewer though, and I'm installing ASP.NET Core 8.0 Runtime (v8.0.22) as I type.

Click Program and Features
Click on Turn on Windows Features on or off. From the left panel.
Put a check in the boxes for all .NET Framework's click OK and restart.

If they are already checked, Uncheck them, then restart,
Return here and check them again, and restart the computer.

Did that, still getting the original error and a new one.

The message was, "You must update .NET to run this application."

I think you should heed its advice:

Go into Settings\Apps, search for every app whose name contains ".NET" or "ASP.NET," and try to modify (repair) each one in turn.

If even that fails, go to the Microsoft website and let the latest version of each one.

It may not be a problem with .net at all. I would uninstall Intel Driver & Support Assistant using Revo Uninstaller Free.
