Here's what I get when I want to check my operating system build:

Well actually it is so very tiny and almost unreadable. I can't figure out how to get the font large enough that I can read it.

You can test out changing the scale setting in system - display -scale. Also change the browser's zoom if too much after changing the scale. You can always revert back if not to your liking.

I've already tried that, and it doesn't work. If I enlarge the text it does nothing to help the regular windows stuff.

Are you sure you haven't adjusted the scale setting? I've just adjusted mine and it alters the text on everything.

I just got a graphics update from Intel, and rebooted.

I'm going to reboot again.

Usually resetting the scaling will fix a too small font issue.

If that doesn't work, set it at a percentage that's comfortably readable.

I have always had my scaling set to 125, which is where it is now, with the font so small I cannot read it. I have changed it to 150 and it's barely readable. Setting it to 175 is readable, but with that setting, my page is way too large to fit this screen.

Move it up to 150%. Let Windows finish setting it and then reset it to 125%.

That usually clears up the font issue.

Mine got treated to a new pair of glasses a month or so back. :geek:

What scaling works best for you depends on what your screen size is. Mine is a 15" laptop, and its AMD Radeon Virtual Super Resolution lets me play with resolutions far higher than its native 1366x768.

It can be a bit misleading posting screenshots because a) the forum software resizes them to fit the page, and b) .you're not necessarily seeing them on the same size of screen as I am. So I've pasted my tests into a single image.

This one I can only just read on a 15" laptop screen! I've adjusted the size it appears in the post to look the same (as I post this) as it did on my laptop's screen.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2, and 25H2 on 30th September 2025 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 25H2.

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to mechanical deterioration this PC has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    My SYSTEM SIX is a Dell Latitude 5550, Core Ultra 7 165H, 64GB RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, supported device, Windows 11 Pro 24H2, Hyper-V host machine. Updated to 25H2 on 30th September 2025.

    My SYSTEM SEVEN is a Lenovo Thinkpad T580, Intel Core i7-8650U, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD + 2nd 512GB NVMe SSD, a supported device for Windows 11. This is my current general purpose 'main machine'. The installed Windows 11 Home from my System One has been migrated to this machine.
It didn't really work so I set it to 150% which works a little better. Not Perfect but I can live with it since I don't use this computer that much.

However, I am stuck in this recliner with two broken feet, for at least two and a half more weeks. So, I will be using this computer more than normal.

I will learn to live with what I have or get out the 17 inch Laptop. That one seems to be working just fine. Since this one is a 15.6 inch, the screen doesn't hold as much data.

Thanks everyone for your help. I have no clue why this one is acting like it is but I guess that's life.
