i use text now on my desk top for some reason the mouse pointer turned to this how do i stop it?

Looks like maybe you hit the auto scroll button on your mouse ? it's usually the middle wheel on your mouse when you press it , if you press it again it goes back to normal

I get the same when I press the Mouse Button/Scroll Wheel..... for starters, maybe it's your hand? Or check the Mouse icon in the conrol panel.... EDIT: what kinda mouse are you using?

That symbol is the d-pad symbol(.Directional pad ) This can commonly be activated by game controller.
