Thousands of duplicate files in OneDrive

OK, it's probably my fault, but after doing a Windows 11 RESET in my desktop, including instructing Windows that my OneDrive was not on the Boot Drive (C:) but on F: drive, I seem to have completely duplicated all my files. That's about 150,000 files! (That's what you get when you're 77 and have been using computers since they were invented last century).

Anyway, simple question: How do I delete the copies?

you can go into your onedrive folder and perform a search (top right of explorer window) and search for "Copy.docx". that should bring up all of the files with the word "copy" in them. then you can highlight and delete as many as you want at once.

*you will probably have to log into onedrive online and delete them from the Onedrive recycle bin after that too

Thanks dacrone. Us old blokes need to be reminded of things we once knew. Of Course! File Explorer! Why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the suggestion to look at OneDrive's recycle bin, too. Yes, it needed a clean out. Thanks heaps.

Thanks for the reply......and now a quick hijack (apologies to @PJH )

I have a bunch of older system copies in my OneDrive that for some reason I can't locate and delete. These are file from previous install of W10 and W11 that I forgot to immediately delete OneDrive (personally, I hate it and I have my own backup routine).

How can I go back to the different earlier OneDrives and delete them?

there is no "earlier onedrives" that i know of. you can log into the web gui and check what the used space is there and check the onedrive recycle bin there too. but if that doesnt work, please start a new thread with this issue so it can be tracked independently for future users with the same issue.
