Problematic Computer (Desktop) - BIOS - Security

I have attached each setting under the Security section of the BIOS.

There will be trial and error steps to see whether TPM can be found:

Open device manager > click view > click show hidden devices > manually expand security devices > post an image into the thread

Turn off the computer > disconnect the power cord > hold down the power button for 30 seconds > reconnect the power cord > power on the computer > repetitively click F10 > click security > post new images


Open administrative Powershell and type or copy and paste:

Disable-TpmAutoProvisioning

When this has completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread

Turn off the computer > disconnect the power cord > hold down the power button for 30 seconds > reconnect the power cord > power on the computer > repetitively click F10 > click security > post new images

These are the screenshots from the power downs, power cord disconnects, holding down the power button for 30 seconds, powering back up, and clicking F10.

Okay. I appreciate your help thus far. Hopefully someone will come along with a resolution. I will try the links you posted.

Hi, There was no TPM specified on your specs:

And, your Intel CPU is 4th-gen right?
If right, W11 can't run on your PC.

For you sure, download and run Win11CompChk here:

Post the results here by screenshoting, using the Copy or Export Results.

Actually it can run Windows 11.

Actually almost anything can run Windows 11 - what many machines can't do is pass the hardware requirements check, so the install media will refuse to install on them without some sort of workaround to bypass the installer's restrictions

Yes. 4th gen CPUs can run Windows 11, but the normal Setup won't allow you to install Windows 11 on an PC that is not meeting the hardware requirements.
That's workarounds came in.

Some simple workarounds:
1:
Download Win11 and Win10 ISOs
Replace Win11 ISO appraise*.dll (just basically all appraise and dll) with an Win10 one.

2:
Download Win11 and Win10 ISOs
Replace Win10 ISO install.esd or install.wim with an Win11 one.

You can also use the method posted by @NICK ADSL UK in this thread:windows 11 simple upgrade

Create a ISO image with the method by @Kari UUP Dump - Download Windows Insider ISO
then create a new folder in your Desktop, copy all files from ISO to the new folder, delete appraiserres.dll.

Some other ways:
This option do not require any modified ISOs

1 Boot to normal Windows 11 Setup
2 Open Regedit, go to HKLM\System\Setup
3 Create a new key, name it LabConfig
4 To bypass TPM Requirement, Create an new DWORD inside of LabConfig, and name it BypassTPMCheck. Double click it, and type 1.
5 To bypass Secure Boot Requirement, Create an new DWORD inside of LabConfig, and name it BypassSecureBootCheck. Double click it, and type 1.
6To bypass RAM Requirement, Create an new DWORD inside of LabConfig, and name it BypassRAMCheck. Double click it, and type 1.
7 Now, you can run the Setup without any hiccups.

My backup PC couldn't pass because of my i7-7700K processor. My "work around" was to install it via the Insiders program - joined insiders and did an in-place upgrade from Windows 10. All good :)

The ISO has lower requirements than the published MS ones. It is quite happy to perform an in-place upgrade on two of my machines, one a 6th gen i7, the other a 4th gen i7.

But I've been testing to see just how low I can go by 'breaking' the requirements check. I've pushed the limits way beyond anything that's remotely sensible - and Windows 11 just continues to work!

Yeah, I heard you could use the ISO as well to "get around" things, but I'm just saying the Insider's upgrade works too :)
