This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off always open your Android apps in expanded screen view when opened from the Phone Link app on your Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC.
With the Phone Link app on your PC linked to your Android phone, you can instantly access the Android apps installed on your mobile device right on your Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC. Using a Wi-Fi connection, Apps allows you to browse, play, order, chat, and more — all while using your PC’s larger screen and keyboard.
Starting with Phone Link app version 1.25091.39.0 and higher, you can now view your Android phone apps in expanded screen on your PC. You can switch between compact and expanded layouts for your apps.
You can turn on or off to always open apps in expanded screen view by default instead of compact view. You will still be able to switch between compact and expanded layouts for your apps.
EXAMPLE: Phone Link Android apps opened in compact and expanded screen views
Here's How:
1 Open the Phone Link app on your Windows 10/11 PC.
2 Click/tap on the Settings (gear) icon. (see screenshot below)
3 Click/tap on Features in the middle Settings pane.
4 In the right Features pane, click/tap on Apps to expand it open.
4 Under Apps, check (on) or uncheck (off - default) Always open apps in expanded screen for what you want.
That's it,
Shawn Brink
