Unable to activate a DXO program, or access their https://api-ls.services.dxo.com site.

Morning,

I'm using Build 26100.3624, and since my latest update, have been unable to activate my DXO app, or access the link that they've suggesteds I try.

I get an error 14 message, which, when Googling, indicates a DNS problem, and that there are plenty of others who are unable to access sites via a browser or app that need to use DNS. Using a VPN allows me to access the site from my Browser (Opera), but that of course doesn't allow my DXO app to access their server to autheniticate!

Has anyone else here had the same issue?.

Some options: Try rebooting your router then flush your DNS cache, try a different browser, try a different DNS server.

I've just done that, sadly to no avail, the program itself doesn't use a browser to activate either.

Just a quick update, it seems that my Hosts file was at fault.

All ok now!

All ok now!
Host files do not change their selves, i suggest a malware scan.
