I received this message while trying to run open Steam.
Make sure robert - Personal is running on your PC, then try again.
I tried searching but couldn't find any answer at all.
So, if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it, for sure.

Have you tried to download Steam and install it to fix any issues? If that doesn't work try uninstalling Steam, restart and reinstall it. I hope this won't also delete any games.

well that's weird. I'd suggest a virus scan. did you change your user folder's name?

@ Futurdreamz - I ran a scan three times. I have not changed the user folder name.

It's trying to access a OneDrive account, because apparently it thinks a folder in the (probably \Documents) is only in OneDrive.

Are you exiting out of OneDrive?

Are you exiting out of OneDrive?
ohhhh... it would make sense if Steam was trying to access online-only files while OneDrive was not running. it probably freed up space but freed up the wrong files. that can be prevented by setting the folder Steam needs to be kept on the device.

Aha! It was OneDrive causing the mess. I wasn't sure exactly what was wrong so I reinstalled OneDrive. Things are functioning normally now. Thanks for the solution. I never really understood OneDrive so it never entered my mind that something was amiss.
