update 25h2 keeps failing

This is on my Dell Inspiron 5625 laptop. I've tried multiple time to update to win 11 version 25h2. After downloading and rebooting, the installation gets to about 75% then undoes the changes and I'm back to version 23h2. Do I need to somehow update to 24h2 before attempting to up date to 25h2? I get error code is 0xc1900101.This is what I've done so far: updated drivers per dell's webpage, ran windows troubleshooter, removed unnecessary programs, ran sfc /scannow, tried different suggestions from searching 0xc1900101, ran malwarebytes and ccleaner. I'm not sure what to do next.

1) Add WMIC as needed for windows 11




2) Run upgrade_failure_info.bat > post a share link






3) Run tuneup_plus_log.bat > post a share link







4) Run the V2 log collector > post a share link

First let me point out that the NinjaOne article you were referred to is as wrong as it can be about the method for extending the EFI partition (which while possibly the problem, I am fairly certain is not your issue to begin with). EFI can NOT directly be extended using disk management as there is usually no contiguous free disk space to extend into. One has to use third party partitioning tools. That said, one can find the culprit of an upgrade failure either by looking at the logs yourself (or do as @zbook suggested so his tools can analyze the logs for you. This makes much more sense for a novice since log files are in Microsoft speak)
Depending on where in the install the failure occurs, the log can be in multiple places. Log files and resolving upgrade errors

Way back when I tried to upgrade from 23h2 to 24h2, mine rolled back so I found my particular error in
C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback\setupact.log
C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Rollback\setupact.err
Turned out it was a corrupted user account so I had to clean install.

If for some reason logfiles do not direct you to what caused the error, I advise anyone to not waste his time. Either stay where you are or bite the bullet, back up your data, and do a clean install. You can chase your tail for days.

see if that will update the system to 25H2
