Is it possible to have one username for both? And, if so, what are the procedures. Thank you

Depends on how you’re purchasing Microsoft 365

If you’re getting a subscription from Microsoft, buy it via Windows 11. There is usually a link on the first page of Windows 11 settings.

But it all comes down to how you sign in for the first time.
If you want M365 to be related to Windows 11, then you use the same username (Email) & Password to sign into M365 as you do for Windows 11.

If you already have a subscription to M365, if it were me, I’d leave it well enough alone.

I remember a horrifying thread here that was related to changing the email account (user) for M635 because the member wanted it & Windows 11 to be under the same account. (Which they failed to do when subscribing to M365)

Someone since, may have found or know of a better and easier way to do it. I can only remember the difficulties this member had changing the email/user account to match the two up.

@glasskuter? Remember Jro’s issues?

Last thing (sorry) If you’re just wanting to change the username itself (Display Name), like from Pam to Pamela, apparently in this video “Carlos” explains the process. 3.5min

Hi, Pamela.

Do you use the same login and password for M365 as you do for Windows 11? If so, it’s odd.

I think that video may be of use if you do. I can’t explain why (if you use the same login/pass for both) one would show differently.

My confusion is/was having a username for Windows and a different one for M'soft 365. Again my thanks, and your patience.
