Some of the best programs are free for sure. I would add to that foobar 2000 for music, Crystaldiskinfo for disk monitoring, Autohotkey and python for scripting, HWINFO64 for monitoring everything, minitool partition Wizard for partitioning, Microsoft sysinternals among many others.
macrium is special though, so essential and well executed.
