I've had absolutely no problem using the UUPDUMP website posted in this thread at:

UUP dump

UUP dump lets you download Unified Update Platform files, like Windows Insider updates, directly from Windows Update.

But then, I have a 1Gbit connection, so that might help.

I have successfully acquired the scripts for 22621.2283 (Windows 11) and 19045.3448 (Windows 10). You can separate the download and conversion process by commenting out a line in the "uup_download_windows.cmd" script file.

Locate this line in the file:
if EXIST convert-UUP.cmd goto :START_CONVERT

Change it to:
:: if EXIST convert-UUP.cmd goto :START_CONVERT

When you run the script, it will just download all the files for the ISO.
At a later time, you can run the following script "convert-UUP.cmd"
to convert the downloaded files into an ISO.

If I were Chinese, should I trust someone with the word “England” in their login name?

Scripts from this UUP website download components from MSFT servers that are hash verified. The project to create a local UUP website on your PC, has been awkward at best.

The UUPDUMP.NET website is going to be down for awhile. Alternatives will arise. Sorry you have a problem with Chinese.

Chinese or not, can any users of UUP sites be 100% sure that they haven't been compromised? The 'main' site is offline - how does anyone know that these 'new' UUP sites that are springing up aren't the result of someone breaking the old site knowing that users will find the alternatives? It's a hacker/malware installer's dream!

Oh and I don't care whether Chinese people trust me or my name...

There seems to be a huge antipathy to the Chinese in the West. I certainly don't like their "State communism" system but they have always been controlled from the top and they are far more pragmatic than most realize.

Anybody who'se ever visited Shanghai especially the "French concession" area of the city where anything goes - whatever you want is available (at a price !!) , travelled on high speed Chinese trains or dealt with ordinary Chinese must surely realize for all their faults and social injustices in opressing minorities I can testify that for a city of around 20 million people it's one of the safest and cleanest of any city having over 8 million people anywhere. I felt safer there than in some parts of London, Detroit or Paris. The Chinese also have lifted loads out of poverty too -- and are actually quite cold on the Russian invasion of Ukraine --not good for business either !!).

OK they hack and copy things - but look how the Japanese started - similar processes. India is far more insidious - In Chennai (1000's of off shored I.T workers) and on the whole a stinking horrible festering slum of a place you can go into a bar two doors down from a police station and buy a whole slew of credit card pin numbers, the card 3/4 digit code etc -- for around 20 USD per 100 !!!!

Singapore often taken as a model of economic progress and stability is so rigidily controlled it's a pain even if things are squeaky clean and efficient.

I have 100% no problem with Chinese software - most of it contrary to popular perception isn't really hacked. Some might be "reverse engineered" but so what. N.Korea, Russia, India, Iran, Mexico and even the Philippines are the areas where most infringements come from. The Chinese just market it efficiently.

Anyway enough politics for one day. !!

Yes, that is the main concern with any previously unknown UUP site that starts up to fill the gap when the 'main' site goes down.

There is an official localhost version of UUP dump that you can download and run on your own PC, that one will never 'go down'

Perhaps we haven't been asking the right questions...

How would you know if ANY of the UUPDUMP websites deserve trust? What would you base that on? The original website was sourced by a fellow from Poland who called himself "Whatever." The web hosting has been enabled by a couple of ISPs in different countries. Supposedly, the original Whatever passed away and has been replaced by a new persona (possibly Whatever127). And a persona by the name of Luzea has managed the hardware for UUPDump and there has recently been a problem with that hardware. Whatever and Luzea have been associated with MyDigitalLife (MDL). Do you trust that forum? Do you now trust the original UUPDUMP.NET website?

And even the"localhost version of UUP dump" is being concocted (scripted) by a member of MDL. What makes a website like UUPDUMP.NET "Official"? When do you place the "Official" stamp of approval on a website like UUPDUMP.NET?

The only thing I've been able to do is watch the script links pull from MSFT endpoints, verify that the hashes match, and even scan the Windows components for virii.

If any of you have ideas about how to verify the material that is derived from links on UUPDUMP, then please share.

I had to try two different times to get the latest Beta Build. For some reason, when I would unpack the files I had a totally different build. Somehow the URL's were mixed up. I waited for about an hour and tried again and I finally got the one I was looking for.........If this keeps up I will no longer be testing builds.

Firstly, the language defaults to Chinese. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a Chinese site.

That's in a U.S. based cloud IP block range of addresses (Not a Chinese block range).

The Telecom Facility is physically located in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, not far from the Intel Motherboard Division, where I used to work (Not in China).

I can't promise that the site is perfect. But it seems like there has been a lot of over-reaction to the appearance of Chinese characters.

I'll stick to using official MS download site. At the end of the day a clean install or repair can be done with the current ISO for whichever channel is needed, then just check for updates after and it's back to the most current up to date version anyway

Yes, if you don't specify the language the default will show in Chinese.

Try adding /?lang=en-us.

I can't speak Chinese. I can't make heads or tails of Chinese when it's written on paper. It looks like hieroglyphics to me. But then I misinterpret what my spouse says a lot. 55% of communication is non-verbal. 38% is voice tone, rate, and pitch. 7% is in the meaning of the words. So in a thread like this, it's 7%. Yikes!

That makes perfect sense. You don't necessarily need the latest version of Windows 11, just an Official, reliable, version. Once you get it installed, Windows Update should take care of making sure you have the latest build.
