View desktop files from taskbar

In Windows 10 I had an icon on the right side of the taskbar called Desktop. When clicked, a context menu opened that listed everything on the desktop. From this menu a file could be opened or an app could be launched. I think it was an add on but don't remember where it came from.
Does this exist in Win 11?

They were called Taskbar Toolbars...

No. MS has depreciated those features.

Welcome to the forum. If you want a list of desktop files & folders you can do it this way.
Right click in empty area of desktop>select new >select shortcut
In the target box type explorer.exe C:\Users\yourusername\Desktop Make sure your user name is exactly how it's listed in C:\users
Name it My Desktop Files. OK
Once it's created, right click on the shortcut>select properties>change icon
Pick a new icon apply OK (I'm partial to the star)
Then right click on the newly created shortcut and select pin to taskbar.
You can delete the shortcut from the desktop.

Thanks. That works. Couldn't find the star icon but the one I picked will suffice.
