I also found in the new VMWare version they prompt me to install WHP so I tried with checked and unchecked then restart but still problem remain.

I use humor to help me out thru it all. Best joke i like to crack is this:

"the wife finally talked the doctors into taking the poo chute out of me"

She gives me dirty looks, but its sort of true since i will have a colostomy bag haha.

Anyways lol, if you migrate to hyper v, convert the disks before you uninstall vmware. I didnt, and had to go thru lots of hoops to do it.

Biggest feature i love about hyper v is i can set the virtual machine that runs my webserver to auto start or auto stop when i shut down or turn on my pc. Basically when wendows update wants a reboot its no more "oh crap i didnt shut it down" when it turns off and no more occasional "oh crap i didnt start it up" after the restart.

The method outlined earlier should do it - it's always worked for me.

However, as I noted, and as @tomdsr also pointed out, if you have Windows Sandbox enabled, it may also be enabling hypervisor on its own, or at least parts of it, so that the system shows it as enabled.
