I get this message when I try to open my old Win 11 image:

Virtualized AMD-V/RVI is not supported on this platform.
Continue without virtualized AMD-V/RVI?

and if I press yes I get error

Error while powering on: VMware Player does not support nested virtualization on this host.
Module 'HV' power on failed.
Failed to start the virtual machine.

I made sure hypervisior not installed and SVM enabled in the bios what else I can do ?

Thanks friend I tried every solution but it seems hyper-v is enabled somehow no matter what is displayed in windows features:

options.jpg

I also found in the new VMWare version they prompt me to install WHP so I tried with checked and unchecked then restart but still problem remain.

In system information , last line say:
A hypervisor has been detected. Features required for Hyper-V will not be displayed.

How to force disable this ?

In the "Turn Windows features on or off" screen (the screen where you disabled Hyper-V), enable the option called "Windows hypervisor platform". Note that this is NOT the Hyper-V option.

Read this article.

I suspect this is where issue is.

Try running vm with secure boot disabled in vm, and on host.

Slightly OT -- @cereberus

running ubuntu lts 20.04 server - added kde to it as it's an easy gui and installed swtpm and KVM. About to create a W11 VM for you with emulated TPM. Will display when done. == Seems some network issues as I can't seen to find down a Macvtap device -- and it's a pain messing around with "bridged mode". I'll "cheat" by installing a USB wifi adapter to the Guest !!

I started off with the UBUNTU server as I didn't want all the GNOME desktop bits of the interface. KDE is almost "More Windows like than Windows" so should be easy for windows users to follow.
installing just the kde-plasma-desktop doesn't add zillions of default apps which I don't want (main reason I use arch-linux as my main host).

If it works properly I'll try with the latest version of UBUNTU (standard - not server edition) and choosing where possible "standard default options" to make it as easy as possible even if it's not the most efficient way for running VM's. It's basically a POC - "Proof of concept" to show it does work.

I'm installing the whole thing to an external SSD->USB drive so no danger of hosing up main system for a few "retries".

Lunchtime for a few beers now.

Cheers
jimbo

Sandbox uses hyper v, might try removing that and try again. I had to when i was using vmware.

Got tired of the song and dance you are going thru @William654 so i migrated my virtual machines to hyper v and never looked back.

Did you get this solved?

If not, and nothing has hepled, even the last posts, look at Sandbox and how it works.
Not solved and I think I know why. I currently boot from C:\ drive not the EFI partition. Hypervisor is enabled somehow according to system information. If I change boot sequence to boot from the EFI partition I get BSOD so I must boot from C:\. Is there a way to force disable hypervisor ?
