W 11 and MS Bluetooth Fresh Install

I'm going to attempt a fresh install using the Rufus method and it would really help to be able to get the mouse activated ASAP. Other than waiting to get into Settings does anyone know of a fast way ? Thanks.

I don't think it's possible. You'd be better off getting a cheap USB mouse to use first.

I have to agree with this option. Get it going and then get the Bluetooth mouse going. OH and make sure you have the current drivers.,

W 11 up and running with cheap USB mouse. I cannot get my MS BLuetooth mouse to work no matter what - troubleshooter, delete component and reinstall. I did the install on a fresh drive then went back to W10 on the same machine and it runs great !

BT won't work in the BIOS. You'll need a wireless USB dongle for the BIOS to pick up the mouse. I have a Logitech MX Master 2S along with a Logitech Craft keyboard and as long as the Logitech dongle is plugged into the USB port, the mouse & keyboard works inside the BIOS.

Bluetooth won't work because it needs the OS operate it (in keeping things simple). When in the BIOS, BT doesn't work, so... :)

My keyboard is running on a USB dongle and the mouse is on an Atheros Bluetooth chip in Windows 10. I just found the specific driver for it for Windows 10 (they don't make one for 11). Will try it in the AM. In looking at the 10 Device Manager MS has the diver and in 11 its a generic.
