I was mostly Atari person all the way up to 386 but Started with Timex Sinclair Zx 81 soon heavily modified by "real"keyboard and 16KB of RAM. Run whole production in small-ish factory with it until boss called me one day to see and do something with new "Toy". It was IBM PC 8088 that came in about 10 boxes, one of them full of books. Took me couple of days to put it together and running. I remember joy of everyone in the office when it first started and screen filled with IBM logo with little harts running around screen and making some noise.

That was true experience, Mike.
Glad being among those who witnessed the rise of computing technology. It wondered me, with little knowledge about the thing we can be a person of reference. Happened to me. When it came to expanding system, choosing machine, or even had some trouble they called up. I was a practical nurse who moved back and forth between the hospital wards and the office. Now they have all pertinent persons for the job.
Never regret it when I'm getting old now, and retired.

There was also added fun, teaching secretaries to use it.

What an experience.
Well. although a bit out of topics, I believe all good experiences that made many are willing to offer helps to people accros forums. I see many of you exist from SevenForums, EightForums, TenForums, up to ElevenForums. Did't sign up at VistaForums as I can recall.

I learn much across forums and was able to provide helps in my real daily life.
Keep it up, Folks.

Yes, hope that experience amounts to something enough to help. I'm trying to keep current on HW and it's capabilities but not very current on prices as they are all over the place.
