If the PC is compatible then I’d say most have - 80%. If not compatible then only a small number 15% or less. I wonder how many of those who upgraded (compatible or not) eventually returned to Windows 10.

My systems compatible are still on 10. I have a mini pc running 11. I'm in no hurry to move anything to 11. It's fine, but 10 isn't broken and 11 brings very little to the table.

I would imagine about 10 - 15% (based on the numbers at the start of December which were estimates of gamers on W11 and people using Advert blockers - at that time about 9%). I upgraded both of my systems (the main one in My Computer below, and a Dell Inspiron 7373 laptop) on the day of the official release, having checked using the MS app to see that they both met the requirements, which they did. I discovered last week that the Dell laptop is not on the list of upgradeable computers according to Dell, but it works perfectly for me. Like many enthusiasts, I will always go for the latest available system. In my case, I have plenty of time to put things right in case of disaster - now that I'm retired; the worst it would mean is a few happy days reinstalling from scratch. That was something which I used to do on a regular basis during the Windows 95 era, and really up to Windows XP, but it is a rare experience these days.
I have a relative who is highly intelligent who uses a computer all the time, but hates to actually get into 'how they work' - he just wants everything to work as it should. He has recently been offered the update to W11 and plans to install it, having first asked me what the point was! I suspect a lot of non-enthusiasts will just install the upgrade when they are offered it, so the number will be going up quite quickly all the time.

I bought a new laptop that installed 11 from the start, my other laptop running 10 wasn't compatible. I'm using the 11 laptop all the time now and my other only on the odd occasion and to keep it up to date.

I'm having no problems so far and don't see any reason to go backwards so I'll be sticking with the way things are at present.

Surprised the number is still so low (9%). Did both my PC's and happy with it but I'm apparently in the minority.

"The primary reasons Windows 11 isn’t seeing higher adoption rates “are likely due to the harsh requirements in place to upgrade to Windows 11 and a lack of urgency since Windows 10 is still supported until 2025,” Esben Dochy, technical product evangelist for Lansweeper, wrote in an email reply to Computerworld."

Yeah, stuck the leaked original on it and a few builds after but that was it. It wouldn’t pass now purely for the simple reason that it’s a box of sh!te.
