What is this in 24H2?


I just did a clean install of Windows 11 and this exact logo came up when OOBE was searching for updates.

thats why i stated it is more than likely (99% sure) tied to synchronization, ie onedrive. but just an icon. i looked and cant find the .mun its in. but i never see it so not spending forever looking for it

It's not supposed to be clickable. It just shows the area were you can add Favorites.

its only an icon embedded. if you click "Shared" right next to "Favorites" it has a white page with a blue circle with an exclamation mark on the back of the explorer pane. its all promotion to sync trash

This is how I have my File Explorer configured and how it always comes up showing Gary - Personal, which is my OneDrive folder. I'm a Microsoft 365 subscriber and have 1TB of cloud OneDrive. I keep all my data and photos in my OneDrive folder as you can see. The only use I have for Favorites is to have quick access to my Downloads folder:

If I click Home I get:

But then I never click on Home. I have my default set to show me Gary - Personal which is my OneDrive folder where I do all my work.

check this pc and a test pc. pretty sure SAB prevents those from being shown. neither of them had it and they both have SAB... could be a coincidence though...
