Solved Why is there a Z: drive listed after partitioning my SSD?

Its loaded on this machine so yes, pretty sure I used EaseUS Partition Manager.

On a GPT partition the EFI or system partition is typically viewable in disk management and does not have a drive letter.

A letter is often assigned temporarily during troubleshooting.

The drive letter can be removed.

BobOmb posted the applicable command to remove drive letter Z:.

The mountvol command usually works when diskpart remove or disk management fail to remove the drive letter.

If that was post#6, then post#7 said dont try anything yet, so I didnt try it.

Bit busy with other things at the mment, but will come back to this later.

Yes it was my post. The fix worked for me after using EaseUS.

I went looking for this solution, (afaik it was post#6), with the intention of trying it, but it seems to have been removed.

I still have the issue , unresolved.

Only the Original Poster, replyer or site manager/s can edit or delete posts. For deleting/editing there is a time limit for the change. Maybe a problem was found with it.
