Win11 doesn't recognize blu ray drive?


I only posted the quote from the review for informational purposes. The adapter may work with an optical drive but so far there is no proof of it. It is better to return the item while that is possible.

BTW, here is a very similar item on Newegg that only mentions working with SSDs and HHDs. It makes one wonder about the other adapters that say otherwise.

It's good that you were able to return it. Better luck with whatever you try next. If you can afford the OWC enclosure, that'd be a safe choice, as it is purpose made.

Sorry , truthfully i again barely use mine now, cd, dvd discs are a thing of the past. Dying a slow death.

In Disk Manager it lists my PC's ssd as Disk 0 and then another one as "Disk 1" and it asks me to initialise but clicking that says the "device is not ready"

I also tried this in the Registry editor but no change

Hi.

I had the same issue and I found that the problem (in my case) was a Bluray recording app (DVDFab and Ashampoo Burning Studio). after reinstalling, problem disappeared.
