I was running some software from my external USB Pioneer Blu-ray, and got an error that the file didn't exist. Turns out that the operating system lost track of the D: drive. I clicked try again and then it found the drive and the file. This keeps happening. The drive is there, and then it isn't. I've never seen anything like that before. Suggestions?

Thanks.

Could be a couple of things Donald:
1- USB Cable is failing; try another cable.
2- Port is failing; try another port/clean port as dust can accumulate and prevent solid connection.
3- Drive is failing. That would need to be tested on another system.
4- You could always uninstall/reinstall the driver, but I doubt that would do any good.

Thank you OAT, you pointed me in the right direction. I have a USB hub on my computer, as it doesn't have a lot of USB ports natively. It looks like the hub is the issue. I plugged in the Blu-ray to a port directly on my system and now it works fine. I switched back to the hub and same issue. So that's clearly the problem. Again, thank you.
