Win11: I can only use 75% of my 32Gb memory, on Win10 I could use all 100% of it.

So i should open hundreds of tabs every time i sit down at that computer and look at one topic and then close them and then open a hundred new ones on the next topic and then continue on the next and next.. and then do that 10-20 times a day.
Its easier and less time consuming to just keep them open during the active research. :-)

I dont know how many bookmarks i have as Firefox cant count them.. but its probibly thousands of them.. or even more.
I have first a lot of main category bookmark folders.. those have sub category folders and then sub folders on them.
It's so many so i cant find all bookmarks without the search function.. so I'm really glad Firefox has a good Bookmark manager. :-)

That's what I do too. I have rows of folders with hundreds of bookmarks that I've built up and modified to my needs over many years.

i beleive the problem you are facing with just one (1) stick of DDR4 memory is the system can not use the full potential of double data rate and has to keep paging out to swap file. thus creating a bottle neck for your system which you are seeing with its full use of available ram.

the simplest solution would be to get another stick of DDR4 ram at the same speed (ie. 3200) and install that extra ram into your system.
it doesn't have to be another 32GB stick it could be 16GB or even 8GB. this will allow the system to then use that amount of ram at double data rate.

but that is entirely up to you

    UPDATE - 11 April 2026: due to lid hinges starting to break up this laptop has been retired from active duty. The OS with all software and files has been migrated to my System Seven in 'Other systems' to carry on as my general purpose 'main machine'.

    I've now clean installed 25H2 and used Garlin's scripts to update Secure Boot to CA 2023 and revoke the PCA 2011 certificates. It's new role is to test secure boot issues.

    Info for 2021-2026:

Tab Groups came in with 141, your current ESR is probably 140. The next ESR is 153, released three weeks ago.

nope.. My current is 128.14 last time i had to reboot 6 months ago.. i only installed a few system security updates, but as FF didn't have any "Linux dangerous" CVE's i skipped that one as i dont like the .0 or .1 releases.. i like from .2 and newer so i know they got the bugs on new features. 🤓
Edit: Now i remember when i looked up 140 and why i hold off the 140 version.. they introduced AI chatbot and it was then i started to evaluate Waterfox as a replacement..... AI do not belong in a browser... period!!!⚠️....
its a just security disaster just waiting to happen with all AI prompt injection you can do..

That would at worst make the RAM slower, but not unusable, nor that would affect pagefile usage.
