It is your own risk to use that bat script, we do not know any side effect to delete these folders and disable this task yet.

An FYI. I am on the dev channel and installation of a new version today resulted in the task being re-enabled, so I had to disable it again. no ill effects encountered here disabling it.

You can also use Microsoft Windows Sysinternals tool "AutoRuns" to enable/disable it via a checkbox in it's UI. It is the most useful tool there is out there to see and control what programs, drivers, codecs, etc, etc get started on your computer.

OK I left Cellular disabled but re-enabled Logon task. Rebooted and haven't got any new files in the 'systemprofile' folder - the Logon task didn't run with Cellular disabled. Weird that the Cellular task has never even run once anyway!

Why is that, Brian?
Disabling Logon seems to have worked for me. I didn't touch Cellular.

Cellular doesn't seem to have a use (to me) on a desktop PC with ethernet and wifi - cellular implies it's for LTE devices. Disabling Cellular stops the Logon task anyway.

Really? Cellular has no use to me either, Brian. How does disabling Logon affect you?

I didn't notice any issues with Logon task disabled. Even enabled it doesn't run when Cellular is disabled, the last run time shown in the image I posted was the last time it ran, which was before I disabled Logon and Cellular. Logon has been re-enabled since, but not cellular

So, are you saying that you didn't notice any issues with both or either disabled?

Anyone who likes to look "behind the curtain" of windows should take a look at the Windows System Control Center from KLS soft that gives full access to the complete suite of tools from Nir Sofer, plus the full Sysinternals Suite from Microsoft plus a few other tools. It will also check the status of the included suites / tools each time you run it and offer to update or add new or changed tools keeping you up to date which is useful as these tool suites do develop quite quickly

And best of all it's totally free :)

I was hoping with 11 some pinhead finally fixed the Recycle Bin issue. Nope. It's still there.

Issue: if have more than a few items in the Bin and you empty it, some items disappear but the others still sit there. As if the request failed. Except it hasn't. Do a refresh and they're actually gone.

Exactly how impossible is for these pinheads to add a line of code that refreshes that window after emptying the bin?

I think it was an installer for their other products, I may be wrong on that as I haven't used it for years

Me either. All the NirSoft tools that I've used have always been clean.
