Hi, I was hoping someone could help me with my Windows 10 PC 'hanging' for no apparent reasons which would only be resolved by a hard reboot. I was connected to my Cisco Anyconnect VPN software but am unsure if that or another program was causing the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Please perform the following steps:


1) Run: (typically requires Ten Forums logon) (indicate if you have problems with logon)


2) The BIOS: Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. P2.00, 16/12/2019

Upgrade the BIOS: P2 > P8


3) Uninstall and reinstall Nvidia GPU drivers: nvlddmkm.sys

a) Uninstall using DDU

b) Reinstall using the Nvidia website

c) Make sure that you check the clean install box and if available install the physx driver.

You had a BSOD crash on 4th March which was caused by the nVidia graphics driver causing a DPC watchdog error. Was this the problem you are concerned about or was it something that happened today?

I can see that you had an abnormal shutdown today:

The BSOD crash on the 4th and today's abnormal shutdown was essentially the same 'hanging' experience where I had to do a hard reset of my PC.

The computer had several BSOD.

Only one dump file was created.

Other BSOD had failed to create dump files.

So there may be additional BSOD after replacing the Nvidia GPU driver.
