I've noticed that Windows Update is still not offering me 22H2 to upgrade to.

Have checked RegEdit for the key and it's not there. Does this mean that I'll never get 22H2 ?

I have an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 3.6GHz (8c/16t) CPU with 32GB DDR RAM on an ASUS TUF B450+ Gaming Motherboard using a nVidia GeForce RTX 2060 12GB GFX card.

Running Windows 11 21H2 on an 250GB SSD with a 2nd 2TB SSD for Games and a 2TB HDD for Data/VirtualBox Guests.

Probably just a matter of waiting. I believe MS are rolling it out first to those machines it considers most compatible. I see your machine is custom built so MS may be prioritising main manufacturing brands first? Such as DELL, HP etc.

I think you can force the upgrade but I'll leave it to others to advise you on doing that.

I have a DELL laptop and an HP desktop and both machines received 22H2 less than one month after release.

Just a thought.

I've not had a problem with Win11 [3 machines] and 22H2 but do have a few Win10 two of which didn't offer 22H2 so set them aside and did others then after 2 days did get the offer. So far there's been no issues. It does reinforce the idea that most things don't get to all the users at the same time. Patch Tuesday is a scheduled update so seems that goes smoother.

Thanks @timbobit , I finally got impatient lol and did this too on one PC that was still on 2000.1165. It updated first to 22621.674, updated the .NET FW, then updated to 22621.754.

OK, so even tho it mentions for use upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11, it can be used to update Windows 11 21H2 to Windows 11 22H2 ?

OK. I've looked at the reg file using Notepad++, what does disabling WUfB safeguards do ?

Just double checking, as I don't want to do something without knowing what it's doing, etc.

Nobody can really say. In majority of cases, upgrades work fine, but no guarantee.

In the end, you have two options:

1) Just wait until formally offered it.

2) Take a risk and upgrade anyway. As always, it is a always a good plan to make an image backup of current installation before upgrading.

Probably the easiest way (other than waiting on Windows Updates), to upgrade to 22H2 is this.
Use Option #2 (this link), to get the 22H2 ISO image, save it to your desktop.

Then use that ISO image to do an In-Place Upgrade to 22H2.

Here is the short version of the In-place upgrade tutorial...

DISABLE non-Microsoft:
a) antivirus software
b) firewall software
c) drive encryption software

Make a full OS backup with a program like Macrium Reflect (free)
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will "look" like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.

The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations. Your programs and data will be intact.

After you've upgraded to Windows 11 22H2, run Windows Updates to get the latest version.
When that's done, make a fresh backup.

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?

You aren't alone, I don't have the option yet on my gaming box either. I'm in pretty much no rush to move off from Windows 10 on this build, it's running perfectly fine and I don't really want to take the time to tinker with it. . (note: I run Windows 11 on a BeeLink mini-pc, and it's been solid for me on that box).

@pparks1 OK, but your screenshot shows it is offering you the Windows 10 22H2 update tho, so you sort of have it being offered, but it's the Windows 10 variant.

I have now updated both my PCs to Windows 11 22H2 Build 22621.900, via Windows 22H2 ISO (using Rufus to stick it on a USB, then run setup.exe from that stick).

You won't get a feature build through Windows Update if your PC is unsupported. You'll have to do a manual upgrade. You'll have to do that every fall when one is offered by Microsoft.

Both my PCs fully support Windows 11, otherwises I would still be running both PCs on Windows 10.

Both have TPM 2.0 & Secure Boot enabled.

One of my computers did not update the Windows 11 22H2. I used windows installer assistance tool which did up computer to 22H2.
Enclosed file has the http address for this

I downloaded the assistant and it's not clear it will update my windows 11 (21h2). It says it will install from windows 10.

Will this assistant upgrade from 21h2 to 22h2 or will it reset my windows 11 with a fresh new install?

thank you.
